Yeti SB130

The Yeti SB130 has been out a little while now. The slow down in bike manufactures yearly updates mens that the bike you buy now is pretty much the bike launched last year and in this current climate the bike you will buy next year - this is not a bad thing. The addition of the LR (Lunch Ride) model was an early addition to the range and everyone new it was coming. The success of the SB5 LR made me think of swapping my SB6. I am down with the philosophy of having a bike that was designed for one thing but with a little tweak here and there can become something more capable - maybe this comes from 15 years of tuning cars. Is the SB130 LR a BMW M3 with a coilover kit and an exhaust!?

Anyway its the bike for me. I am not on my own here, its been said that the bike is so capable down and up that is THE only bike most mountain bikers will need. After much research I have found only one apparently major flaw. The cost. Which I don’t really ever think you can have as a con, it can be not good value, but no one claims this. I suppose its like anything that works well and carries all the brand appeal as well build quality and customer service you will have to hand over money, which reminds me to carry on saving for that M3.
