AD VANTAGE ASTON

Would you honestly choose the Vantage over a 911. Well I suppose that does kind of depend on which 911. There is a pretty big difference in performance and desirability within in the 911 range. If we ignore the specials lets say the GT3/2 or Turbo then yes I think I would. The 911 C4S and Vantage with a similar price and spec, I think I am going for the Aston and I am a big 911 fan. its a wild looking thing yet out sticks to similar design principles as the 911. The short wheelbase and single bubble circle shape in the middle - rain droop silhouette from a c pillar. I might even go absolutely mental - why not having just chose an Aston Martin over a Porsche and take this crazy Day-Glo yellow

There are already so many views and comparisons reading them all started to make me realise a couple of things, firstly we are combustion engined powered super cars are close to peak performance both from what they can deliver from the powerlant with out electrical assistance while adhering to ever-increasingly harder to pass mission regs. Dynamically these last few cars with regular petrol power are so good as they are based upon years of development on the same fundamental principles. Big engine at the front drive at the rear. So lets say from the start the Vantage and the 911 are both bette than you. Much better. The cars are so good that most reviews are boiling them down to road comfort and infotainment systems which is absolutely fine if you are choosing between a Audi Q5 or Volvo XC40 but we are not. We are making an unessary purchase based on emotions. We want to know how the car will make us feel, what will others think of me, if you are the type to care. Maybe things like how much money will it loose and is it going to be a nightmare to maintain but if you are worried on how well the sat nav works surely you don’t want either a 911 or Vantage. I suppose what I am saying is simply Aston Martin have built a very striking car. One that makes me want to buy it over the competition, knowing full well the competition is near a perfect sports car money can buy. Well done Aston this is a beautiful car and of course its fast and goes round corners.
